Distraction Charters is a for hire, six passenger fishing boat that operates in the Gulf of Mexico. Our clients are people who do not own their own boats or have easy access to the resource. We simply provide access to the saltwater fishery. Our mission is to provide first timer's, families and those who love being on the water, with the absolute best saltwater deep sea fishing charter trips in the Gulf of Mexico. You will never feel like your alone or overwhelmed while charter fishing with us. We believe, that in order to better serve our clients, we have to be the best we can be and do it better than other charter fishing boats on the Alabama Gulf Coast. As a result, our clients are more satisfied. Wouldn't you want the best service and have a fishing trip of a lifetime?

I am an Alabama native that loves being outside. I was lucky enough to spend my early years fishing in and around Galveston Bay, Tx. ( where my mother is from), Dauphin Island and Orange Beach, Alabama. From childhood until 2002, I was a private recreational angler that would come to the gulf coast on the weekends and during Summer and Spring vacation to exercise my privilege to fish the beautiful and abundant waters of the Gulf of Mexico. After 20 years of working in the corporate world, I returned to the Alabama Gulf Coast to take care of my retired, elderly parents. I continued to fish recreationally until 2002 and that was when I bought my first charter boat. I have always loved the water and I felt it was time to start a charter for hire fishing business where I could share my love of fishing with those who don't have access to the gulf waters.

• United States Coast Guard licensed 100 ton Master Mariner certificate.
• Federal Aviation Administration licensed Commercial Pilot, Multi-Engine, Instrument. Jet & Turbine.
• Alabama Commercial Drivers License, Doubles, Triple and Hazmat Certified.
• Naui Advanced Scuba Diver.
• National Marine Fisheries, Advisory Panel member of LAPP (catch shares) and Vice-Chair of Data Collection Panel.

We would like to introduce you to the charter boat "Distraction". She is a 41' Hatteras and is in immaculate shape. In 2010, we completed her restoration with a new paint job and we replaced our rear deck with composite material that should last until she is retired. She is well maintained and is always in top running order. We spare no expense when it comes to maintenance. She is ready for your family's enjoyment. She has all the amenities and offers casual elegance. She is a fishing machine. Over the years, she has provided over 12,200 customers, a comfortable, safe, deep sea fishing trips.

The inside of our charter boat offers all the comfort of home with a climate controlled cabin. She has a clean odor-free restroom for those who expect the best. She has a kitchen and a microwave on board. Our refrigerator is compact so we encourage you to always bring your own cooler full of your favorite beverages and food.

The outside sitting area is large and comfortable. We designed it for families that want to be comfortable while riding and fishing. We have two comfortable seats, drink holders and rod holders so you don't have to worry where to sit your pole when we move to the next fishing reef.

Sitting area is a large 12' x 13', carpet floor, comfortable seats. Kitchen, Microwave, Freezer, Refrigerator, Fresh Water.
